Instructions for TE IT/ Sem 6/ CSD/ Experiment#10 : creating an instance in AWS EC2

Experiment # 10:
Demonstrating cycle of Amazon AWS EC2 instance.

Theory:
No Theory

Perform:
Form a group of max 5 students from same batch, one can also upload individually if opted to work alone.
Use lab manual of CSD Exp # 10 available on blog (https://erkashif.wordpress.com) and perform steps.
Take snapshot of each step and create a document, specify step details and snapshot of same.
Change footer to your group roll numbers.
Save document as PDF format, and upload on following google form.

Points to remember:
Only one member of group will upload document on google form.
Uniqueness of work is important, copied work will be rejected. Same will be decided by upload timestamp as well as unique part in uploaded document, see lab manual.
Deadline to complete this work is 31st March 2020 4.00PM.
Failing to meet the deadline will affect marks of experiment.

Lab manual for SE IT UNIX lab Exp 10 GREP command

Instructions:
1. Visit erkashif.wordpress.com and open post like ‘Lab manual for SE IT UNIX lab Exp 10 GREP command’
2. Download zip file and unzip it. keep only readMeFirst.txt, toUpload.docx, sampleUpload.pdf and txt file of your roll number for exaple 1.txt in case your roll number ends 01. Rest of the txt files you can delete them.
3. Read readMeFirst.txt which contains an explanation of grep command with examples.
4. open JSLinux
5. click on upload button and upload <rollNumber>.txt, for example 1.txt if your roll number ends with 01. Use ls command to check if it is uploaded or not, else refresh the browser and check again.
6. Now by taking help of explanation in readMeFirst.txt, run commands as per problem statements given in toUpload.docx. Copy output from JSLinux and paste it in toUpload.docx. Do not paste screenshot of run, but paste output as text (refer sampleUpload.pdf)
7. At end, change footer of toUpload.docx with your roll number, save toUpload.docx as <rollNumber>.pdf for an example save toUpload.docx as 1.pdf in case your roll number ends with 01.
8. Visit Google Form , feed in basic details as asked and upload pdf file.
9. Deadline to submit is 20th March 2020, 4.00 pm.
10. Upload of work in given timeline is closely related to practical attendance, marks for experiment, term work marks.

To Demonstrate Platform as a Service using Googleapp Engine/ IBM BlueMix/ tSuru.

Theory:
What is PaaS? How Google AppEngine, IBM BlueMix provides PaaS to users?

Perform:

  • Form a group of max 4 students from same batch, one can also upload individually if opted to work alone.
  • Use lab manual of CSD Exp # 8 available on this blog and perform steps.
  • Take snapshot of each step and create a document, specify step details and snapshot of same.
  • Save document as PDF format, and upload on following google form.
